What is VoIP?
VoIP, short for Voice over Internet Protocol, is a technology used to enable voice conversations over the Internet. A big advantage of VoIP is its low costs when compared with traditional long distance telephone service providers. Another advantage, is the mobility aspect of the VoIP technology. Unlike regular telephone numbers, VoIP numbers are global meaning that as long as you have an Internet connection you can make and receive calls from anyone in the world. It is generally recommended to have high speed Internet access when using VoIP.
